When visiting The Plettenberg this summer, pay a visit to these local wine estates making Méthode Cap Classique—after all what could be better than drinking bubbly while on holiday?
Plettenberg Bay has been an official Wine of Origin district since 2005, and is said to have the most easterly vineyards in the Cape. Below we’ve listed three producers making Méthode Cap Classique that are well worth a try. We also list local Plett wine and MCC in both The Sandbar and SeaFood at The Plettenberg; enjoy a glass of Bramon poolside while overlooking Formosa Bay.
The first estate to produce wine in Plett, Bramon Wines is situated in The Crags, a beautiful, mountainous area. The winery produces an award winning Methode Cap Classique, which the 2008 is said to have ‘melon aromas and hints of green pepper’. Enjoy a golden glass while overlooking the Tsitsikamma mountains.
